You recently commited to Texas A&M Kingsville. What age did you start playing football and what team?
When I first touched a football it was just neighborhood football with neighbors and friends. We’d play on concrete because the grass was for the girls. We ran into cars, poles, trucks, etc. Football became my first love at the game of 6.
I played for the Fairfield Eagles. I played every position you could think of, great experience in my life. By the time I got to high school my mindset was on another level. I knew it was others in my same position that wanted the same dream so I had to outwork the other man every second. I’ve had a blast in my high school career. The laughs, cries, wins, losses, locker room moments all is a part of my everlasting memories.
What are some of your best times playing high school? What camps did you attend that helped you along your journey? What did you like best about some of the camps you went to?
The best part was watching my long term brothers grow up with me into a young man with a dream. I’m not really a camp guy but I’ve been to about 4 (PV mega, UIW, U of H mega & TSU mega) camps throughout my years in high school but the TSU mega camp was the camp before my senior year showing what I was made up .
Talk about how you decide on the college of your choice and advice you would give young people.
I played both offense and defense and dominated at both. I got a lot of cards and invites, starting my recruiting process. The schools and facilities were amazing and cool. I met a variety of new people, coaches, etc. It was a great experience. A lot schools/coaches showed a lot of love. There were numerous schools to decide from to play for but somehow when I went to Texas A&M Kingsville, it was a different feeling. I felt as if I was home. Everything felt normal. The coaches and I have great relationships not only my position coach but majority of them.
To everyone that’s currently going through the process or on the way to it. I want to say continue to work hard, don’t let nothing bring you down to doubting yourself. Have fun and take pride in what you do. Grades and film are the most important requirements in getting recognized and recruited. Good luck on your journey
