With lots of experience in changing programs and helping young athletes achieve there dreams veteran coach Wayne Crawford steps into his new role as Aldine MacArthur’s Boys’ Athletic Coordinator, Wayne Crawford, 30 year veteran football coach takes the helm of the Aldine MacArthur High School football program.

Crawford began his career as a offensive coordinater at Culver City  High School in California in 1989.  That was the beginning of a long, successful career in the coaching ranks. Crawford was a offensive coach which landed the job.

Crawford has served in many roles over the span of his career:  head freshman coach, defensive assistant, varsity secondary coach, recruiting coordinator, strength and conditioning coordinator, defensive coordinator, assistant head coach and athletic campus coordinator.

Crawford has been honored by many of his former players in Los Angeles California. Sirr Parker  former running back from Texas A&M is one of the best players that Wayne Crawford has coached. While coaching at Locke High School in California Crawford has a knack for being able to get the best effort out his players on and off the field.

Although Crawford has no easy task in his new role ahead this is something that Wayne Crawford is use too. With a reptutation for taking over struggling high school programs and bringing them back to life is something Crawford has been a master at throughout his coaching career. He accepts the new challenge and sets his sights on becoming champions in the  classroom and on the  field.  Crawford moved here 2 years ago and has  been on the Aldine MacArthur staff. He is devoted countless hours as a member in the education programs for the past 30 years, he knows what it takes to get players to believe in themselves to make it on the next level of life not just sports.

Crawford would like to thank Richard Delgado,  Dre Thompson, Andy Garza. “These 3 men have been phenomenal in me getting adjust to a new state. “I have learned alot from those men in my time here in Aldine.” With this transition, our expectations will be to focus on the development of young adults with an emphasis on academic excellence, exceptional sportsmanship and character development.  The lives of these students are successfully molded by strong role models, and Wayne Crawford is, without a doubt, one who will serve our students well.
